Adolescence

My condolences, you have a canine teenager on your hands! To help you survive what can sometimes be a trying time, let's understand what's going on a little bit better. Remember that canine adolescence varies from dog to dog much like it does in humans. It hits some dogs really hard, whereas others glide through more easily than not. For most dogs adolescence begins around 6 months old (around the time they get their full set of adult teeth), they reach physical maturity around 18 months to 2 years old, and social maturity around 2-3 years old. These are all averages, smaller dogs mature earlier than larger dogs. Some giant breed dogs are goofy seemingly forever!
