Dog Training FAQs
-
There is no exact timeframe because every dog and situation are different. There are so many different variables to changing a dog’s behavior - the environment you live in, any potential underlying medical issues, your schedule and frequency of practicing homework, changes in life or routine, and who your dog is as an individual.
Ettel will go over how long similar cases have taken during our initial consult. Any estimate will only be an educated guess, at best. Generally, the more variables we can control, the better the prognosis. -
If we have a lot to work on, or have agreed that it may take some time, I recommend getting a larger package. The larger packages have a greater discount per session. It makes financial sense to purchase sessions this way if you can afford the upfront cost. It's also OK to do multiple smaller packages, or stick to single sessions. Whatever works best for you and your family.
-
Every family has different needs. Generally speaking, we recommend once a week for a few weeks to get everyone in the home onboarded and confident with the training programs. Then we can reduce sessions to every 2-3 weeks, depending on schedules and needs.
Puppies, adolescents, and separation anxiety are usually every week.
-
We come to you! Whether at your home or a nearby park, depending on what you need to work on, we'll meet you there.

You schedule all of your sessions yourself using our Acuity scheduling software. This gives you the freedom to grab your slot whenever you want.
Keep in mind that weekends and evenings are they're the most popular and are booked quickly.
If you get a package, we recommend booking all of your sessions out so you can hold your slots. You can reschedule on your end as well!
-
Generally, yes. It's ideal if everyone in the home can be present, though we understand that life happens and that's sometimes not possible
