Stories from Happy

Dog Owners

Let us help you and your dog become more happy and confident on your journey together!

Our rescue, Rudy, started exhibiting territorial aggression and resistance to being handled.  We had done a basic introductory obedience course somewhere else, but had found that their dominance-based technique was not working for us. Within minutes, Ettel was diagnosing things about Rudy that we had never even known to look for but that totally made sense based on his behavior.

  • She taught us how to read his body language to gauge his comfort level, and gave us simple exercises to work on with him in small baby steps in order to gradually change his reaction to triggers.  The improvement has been dramatic. We are so grateful for Ettel's patience and understanding.  We really felt like she cared about us and Rudy, and was invested in helping us.

We started working with Ettel a few months ago and it has felt like therapy for us and our two dogs. They both have very different needs. Ettel helped us make so much progress. One of them really struggles with stranger danger and having people over is so much easier than before. Our other guy has some big resource guarding behaviors and just in the short time we have been working on it already feels like something we can actually work through instead of having to worry about it his entire life. Ettel is incredibly professional, kind, and wants to do what is best for everyone in your home. Cannot recommend highly enough!

My year old Coton du Tulear, Gracie, began to growl at people on our walks plus she picked up anything she could get her little mouth on in the park. As soon as I met Ettel I knew everything would be fine. Her calm energy and assurance combined with her astonishing knowledge of canine behavior made me completely confident that Gracie and I would be fine. After just a few days I began to see changes in Gracie's behavior.

  • After only a couple of weeks I was able to throw food at Gracie, leave the room and she wouldn't eat it until I came back and gave it to her. A miracle! Her behavior on walks has changed dramatically.
